Thomas Smugala brings more than 30 years of professional photography experience to Smugala Inc Photography Workshops. A seasoned photographer, director, writer, and visual storyteller, Thomas has lived and worked in St. Louis, Atlanta, NYC, and LA, and traveling the world on assignment to capture the beauty of life.

His distinguished career spans conceptual advertising imagery, cinematography, and creative direction. Through high-profile commercial projects, independent films, and magazine editorial work, he has mastered dramatic lighting, masterful framing, and emotionally resonant composition. His portfolio includes music and celebrity portraiture, as well as campaigns for major brands such as Coca-Cola, Anheuser-Busch, Vanity Fair, Delta, DreamWorks, Sony, Warner Music Group, Harley-Davidson USA, Bank of America, GE, AT&T, Pfizer, Visa, Sheraton and many more... Most recently, he serves as editor and photographer for 573 Magazine.
